Individual in-person or online one-to-one therapy costs £75 per 50 minutes. Joint therapy for couples, whether romantic or platonic, or those wishing to improve their relationship costs £100 per 50 minutes session. Group sessions start at £125 per 60 minutes session for a group of 3 to 4 people. Concessionary rates are available for students or those in receipt of Universal Credit. Please use Contact Us to discuss further.

Finally, the cost of therapy is the same whether it takes place online or in-person. Invoices are sent out monthly in advance for the number of weekly sessions in each month and must be settled in full before the first session of that month. For example, if your contract starts on 1st March, you will be invoiced in February for your sessions on 1st March, 8th March, 15th March, 22nd March, 29th March and payment will need to be received by us on or before 1st March.

PS: You are NOT tied into a lengthy contract. Payments are month-to-month and you are free to end the therapy at the end of each monthly cycle. You remain in control at all times.

This depends on your type of policy. Firstly, you need to check with your provider to confirm whether therapy sessions will be covered. If so, you need to ascertain how many sessions are included and if there are any other restrictions (e.g. time limitations, amount etc). If you wish to use insurance please let us know via Contact Us before booking any appointment and we will provide you with all the information we require in order to process insurance payments for you.

Please note we only work with some insurance providers.

Yes, online therapy can be effective for many individuals. Numerous studies and reviews suggest that it can be as beneficial as traditional in-person therapy for a variety of mental health concerns. Here are some factors to consider:

  1. Convenience: Online therapy provides greater accessibility to mental health support. Individuals can connect with therapists from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need for travel and making therapy more convenient.
  2. Flexibility: offers more flexible scheduling options, accommodating those with busy lifestyles or unpredictable schedules.
  3. Anonymity and Privacy: Some individuals may find it easier to open up in an online setting, as they can maintain a certain level of anonymity. Online platforms typically prioritize client confidentiality and privacy.
  4. Consistency: Online therapy allows for more consistent therapy sessions, as external factors like weather or transportation issues are less likely to disrupt appointments.
  5. Range of Services: Various modes of communication, including video calls, phone calls, messaging, and email, offer a range of options to cater to different preferences and needs.

However, it's essential to acknowledge individual preferences, the nature of the presenting issue, and the quality of the therapeutic relationship. Some people may prefer in-person interactions, while others may thrive in an online setting.

Ultimately, the effectiveness of online therapy varies from person to person, and it's essential to find the approach that works best for your unique needs and preferences. We are pleased to be able to offer our clients a choice in how they wish to access therapy.

The matching process is conducted by a senior clinician who will apply their professional judgement in considering several factors including your presenting issue, preferences, personality, and style of engagement to match you with a therapist who provides the best fit for you. It is in everyone’s interest that we get the matching process right first time which is why we offer an upfront no-commitment 30 minutes session free-of-charge to all prospective clients.

If you've been engaging in therapy for several sessions or an extended period and sense that it's not proving effective, it's crucial to communicate with your therapist about it. It's possible that you may be on the verge of a challenging breakthrough, a common response in therapy that can provoke a desire to distance oneself.

Alternatively, it could be that the therapeutic relationship isn't the right fit for you. Perhaps the therapist's approach doesn't align with your needs, or there's a lack of connection between your personalities. Having an open and honest conversation with your therapist allows for a clearer understanding of the type of therapist that might better suit you. Subsequently, they can provide recommendations for other therapists who may be more aligned with your needs. Whatever the case, you can raise any issues with us via Contact Us and we will do our very best to resolve them.

If you've had only one session with your current therapist and feel it's not a match, we're happy to offer you an additional session with another therapist from our practice at no cost. If you'd like to take advantage of this offer, please reach out to us through the Contact Us option.
